RODARTE SPRING 2012

Sigh.... Rodarte. I can't help but talk about Rodarte spring 2012... I am in LOVE. The whole collection was very different but true to what Rodarte is known for, which makes my admiration for Kate and Laura Mulleavy grow. The collection felt so erie and sleepy in a dream state. From the sea foam and yellow mustard dresses to the BEAUTIFUL prints of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings, it was a very refreshing collection for spring. Sadly I wasn't there in person to see it. :(

(insert weird sounds of awe here).....the prints are gorgeous!!
The colors all complement each other really well and leave a light spring feel to the collection. Why didn't I realize that sea foam and oak are perfect together? Their inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night and Sleeping Beauty resulted in a beautiful inspiring collection. The last dress in the second set is my favorite..... eek so pretty!!!

  1. LOVED this collection as well! Is it just me or does the whole collection kind of remind you of a mermaid's closet?

  2. LOVEEEE Rodarte! it's such a cool story that they're both sisters and never studied fashion and yet...... are SO talented! every collection they do belongs in a museum. i bought their leopard dress from their target collection, it's awesome!
